My Story
From snapshots to storytelling
When I was 18 my dad gave me the analogue camera he’d bought at the same age and lit a spark. Over the next sixteen years, photography was an essential companion to my career in architecture as a visual language and therapeutic outlet.
Self-initiated projects, exhibitions and collaborations accumulated until I set up Sophie Robinson Photo as a side-business in 2023. In the midst of parenting and professional practice, photography revived my sense of self with focus and positivity.
A seismic move home from London followed as well as my son’s arrival and from there… it just made sense to pursue my own creative path!
Today, I make joyful and fulfilling work from the south coast where I live with my husband and our charming zoo: “Pickle”, “Spud” and two anxious whippets. I’m passionate about curating our life story – and yours – with care, curiosity and a hearty dose of nostalgia!

Sophie Robinson for Kuriosis
My collection for Kuriosis is assembled from my archive of personal work, made on 35mm film and taken in locations across Europe between 2009 and 2019.
The images are curious about the relationship between nature and built environments.Prints are available in three sizes from A3 to 70x100cm, on fine art paper or canvas, with framing options.
Kuriosis began life as a print stall at Berlin markets and now manufactures prints for art lovers all over the world. Through the Support Living Artists campaign, my work joins their thoughtfully curated library of 1800+ artworks. Take a look today!
