Considered content for Manea Kella
An elegant content library for architecture firm Manea Kella to demonstrate the full breadth of their working practices with visual consistency.
I worked closely with the team in advance to plan an efficient day capturing spatial shots, candid observations, portraits and flatlays at their newly-completed apartment in Belsize Park, Central London.
“With her architectural background, Sophie has an intuitive understanding of space, proportion and light. She captured not just the design, but the atmosphere within it, revealing the subtle dialogue between materials, form and use.
The images feel both precise and poetic, equally suited to architectural / interiors documentation and more lifestyle-led storytelling. We are delighted with the results and would highly recommend her.”
— Adrian Manea, Manea Kella
Marketing Magic for The Octopus Club
A half-day booking focussed on The Octopus Club’s Nearly New Store hosted at the Young V&A in Bethnal Green. Working between scales, I was able to illustrate the customer experience in detail as well as the broader spatial installation to promote the pop-up across multiple partner brand channels.
“Everyone loves the photos! You are brilliant! I’m super impressed with the vibe you were able to capture – and I don’t remember feeling like that, but the images are quite powerful.”
— Ana Estrougo, The Octopus Club

Personal Brand Sessions
Propel your venture with a thoughtful image collection
Finally – portraits that fit like your favourite outfit, and more besides! As a small business owner I know that your profile really sings when you communicate your skills and personal values too, so we’ll picture your activities and details to paint a full picture.

Holistic Practice for Alex Ray Wellbeing
An elegant content library for architecture firm Manea Kella to demonstrate the full breadth of their working practices with visual consistency.
Alex contacted me as she repositioned her services under a new name. I visited the cosy Chichester salon to capture her restorative client experience alongside some fresh, precise portraits and we later rounded off with a stationary shoot to expand and unify Alex’s social media image stock.
“Sophie makes me feel calm each time we work together! She’s really collaborative and I can trust her with my portraits. We’ve captured my treatments in action as well to celebrate my services across my website, social media and stationary.”
— Alex Ray

Frequently asked questions
We’ll start with a no-pressure chat! Pop to my enquiry form and I’ll be in touch to book a free discovery call or meeting at a convenient time. We’ll run over your ideas and any questions and, for bespoke brand sessions, I’ll follow up with a tailored fee proposal.
Your booking is secured by an e-signed commercial agreement and (with the exception of nursery & club bookings) payment of a non-refundable booking deposit. The balance invoice is typically due the day before your shoot. I use a beautiful, user-friendly CRM system to share documents and reminders so that you don’t have to remember a thing.
In the pre-production phase we’ll analyse your brand, values and goals; define your strategic brief and uses; curate your shot list and plan your shoot with my signature can-do approach. I’ll keep in touch ahead of our session and look forward to making it happen!
I typically shoot at your premises or outdoors, or we can hire a location. I don’t run a client studio but I can scout and book locations for an additional fee plus expenses at cost.
I aim to deliver commercial work within two weeks and I’ll advise on current turnaround times at your session. Rush turnarounds may be possible, subject to availability and an additional fee. Please enquire with as much notice as possible to plan and conduct your shoot and complete post-production before your deadline!
This depends on your brief and we’ll discuss deliverables. As a guide, a typical content day supplies around 125 quality photographs, a half-day around 60 and a quarter-day around 30. Some portraiture or lifestyle work can involve a highly curated approach. A personal brand session supplies a minimum of 15 images so that you have plenty to work with.
Yes – I carry out styled and e-commerce product photography from my home studio and occasionally on location. Please get in touch for a chat and a quote which may be on a per-image or per-product basis.
Selects are typically at my discretion, informed by technical and creative experience. I occasionally invite clients into the culling process, most often with portrait work where I want you to feel confident in your self-image!
RAW files are the digital equivalent of analogue film negatives – think of them as unfinished sketches, or the raw ingredients before a chef cooks a meal! RAW files require specialist software to “develop” the images and this post-production is an integrated part of my service before I deliver your polished, ready-to-use photographs. The creative tone of the edit may be discussed to suit your brand identity.
You’re not alone! In short, a photographer automatically owns the copyright to their images as an author under UK law. Licensing allows clients (and authorised third parties) to make use of the work, just like in music and film.
Day rates cover production, whereas license fees reflect the market value that the images generate and vary depending on the intended distribution, geography and duration of usage. For ease, my commercial quotes include a license appropriate to the commissioning client’s requirements. Extended or additional usage can be added at any time.
We can discuss any questions you may have on our consultation call!
Fear not! You can ask me anything when we chat or via the contact form.
